GENERAL INFORMATION

The anchorage set (CPAO) is used in the anchoring of self-sustained overhead optical cables. It consists of a dead-end and a protector. The protector is applied directly onto the cable in order to distribute the stresses caused by the dead-end, that should be applied on the protector. Both components are made from galvanized steel wires. An abrasive material applied on its inner side improves the gripping on the cable.
