GENERAL INFORMATION

The service dead-end (APS)is mainly applied in the anchoring of cables or bare AC/AAC aluminum wires and in the gripping of the neutral multiplex cable. Used in service branches. Made from galvanized steel wires, atluminum clad galvanized steel (identified by the “RA” letters after of the main code. It can also be made from copper clad galvanized steel (identified by the “RC” letters after the main code) and from copper alloy (identified by the number 3 as the first digit). An abrasive material applied on its inner side improves the gripping on the cable. the distribution preformed Dead-end (APD) is recommended for service branches longer than 50 meter in length.
